Have you heard about the new Trainer Talk local events?
I’m so excited about them that I want to tell you a bit more about them in this week’s blog.
Creating The Trainers Training Company & Trainer Talk community
While The Trainers Training Company and Trainer Talk have both naturally evolved over the years, they have always retained a single common purpose – to create a warm, collaborative and professional community of trainers who offer each other support and encouragement.
This purpose sits at the heart of every course, webinar, ebook, blog, podcast, coaching offer, mentoring session or networking event that I’ve ever created.
One of the most popular features of this community is the Trainer Talk Live events, which bring freelance trainers together with other people who ‘get’ the journey they’re on.
Trainer Talk Live is like a distilled, super-focused and vibrant hub to all of my products and services.
Trainers get to sit down together and listen to expert speakers. They can chat with fellow trainers, bounce around ideas and get practical help with their biggest challenges.
I love the Trainer Talk days because they’re all about opportunities and inspiration. They’re about have a team cheering you on and learning from the experiences of others.
I always come away feeling reinvigorated and attendees tell me they do too.
Trainer Talk Local
But what about trainers who can’t make it to the Trainer Talk Live events?
This is something that has played on my mind a lot over the years.
As The Trainers Training Company has grown, I’ve often heard from trainers around the UK – and some further afield – who would love to come along to Trainer Talk Live but just can’t travel for one reason or another.
This was one of the reasons that I created and developed the online Trainer Talk community.
Members are able to tap into a massive range of resources and expert advice from anywhere in the world at any time of the day or night.
This flexibility means that no-one is restricted by geography.
That being said, trainers often tell me that they would love to take part in live events. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked if I will take Trainer Talk Live to the road!
I completely get it. There’s an energy and an immediacy in the room at live events that attendees are able to take away with them – combined with their new knowledge and inspiration – to power their businesses.
My quandary has been, how can I bring Trainer Talk Live to more people when I can only be in one place at a time?
Trainer Talk Local is the answer.
Who are the ‘Local’ leaders?
Once upon a time, I don’t think I could have contemplated anyone else running a Trainer Talk event on my behalf.
However, over the last few years, I have had the privilege to attract and work with some truly committed, passionate members of the Trainer Talk community.
These people are all experienced trainers in their own right who often help with the smooth running of the Trainer Talk Live events. They look after first-time attendees, give out information, introduce members to one another, facilitate the Business Development Clinic sessions, advocate for Trainer Talk, and much, much more.
Most importantly, they get the Trainer Talk/Trainers Training Company brand. They know me, they understand my mission and values. They love the Trainer Talk community and have personally benefitted from being part of it and they’re as invested in your success as I am.
Having recognised the strength of these amazing individuals, I’m now able to offer a year-round calendar of Trainer Talk Live events run by people who are a passionate, engaged part of the Trainer Talk community.
What to expect from a Trainer Talk Local event
Trainer Talk Local events are open to around 10 people at each session (typically two hours), all of whom get what it’s like to be a freelance trainer.
As with Trainer Talk Live, you’ll have plenty of support from experts and opportunities to share your challenges and wins (and a cuppa!) in a safe, friendly environment.
Although there is some flexibility around how the sessions are structured by their Trainer Talk Local Leader, they will usually have a theme, such as self-publishing, training design, niching or pricing.
You may also find out more about the highlights and takeaways from Trainer Talk Live and will definitely get a chance to discuss what’s happening in your own training business.
We’re currently offering Trainer Talk Live events in 12 key locations around the UK from Brighton and Cardiff to Perth and Dublin. There should be an event close to you at least four times a year (once every three months).
